The Barn was originally used as a medieval banquet hall, making it the perfect location for your wedding breakfast and evening party. It is a really striking place with a lot of history, and from the impressive exposed beams and the original stonework, you will not be short of backdrops for pictures of your special day.
You will enter via the new patio – a generous and pristine space that is perfect for toasts – and walk through glass doors emblazoned with Pentney Abbey’s proud logo, to reveal a space that will comfortably seat 130 guests at round tables and a few more standing in the evening. There is also space for your DJ or live band to set up.
The look of the Barn is authentically historic with an elegant finish. There is a lot to look at in here, and everywhere you do look you will be met with something new and distinctive. Take the huge wood beams that hang from the ceiling, topped with light bulbs, for example or the chic new dancefloor that beckons guests to it. The Bar is a real feature of this historic building and has been renovated to fit with a modern wedding, just like the freshly paved patio, which allows guests to spill out into the sunshine throughout the warmer months.
Our in-house chefs will take care of your every need when it comes to your first toast, wedding breakfast and evening food, and once the eating is done, there is plenty of room for dancing.
Want to utilise the contemporary-meets-historic feel of the Barn for your ceremony too? We will help you arrange seating for 130 guests and you are free to make the space as unique to you and your celebration as you want.
